SUPPORTS

At Neurodiverse Universe Speech Pathology, I offer tailored supports for school-aged children and neurodivergent adults. Whether you are an NDIS participant or accessing private funding through Medicare Care Plans or private health insurance, I am committed to providing the right support for your needs.
School-Aged Children
I provide inclusive supports for school-aged children, with a special passion for working with neurodivergent children. I help children achieve their goals in areas such as social communication, understanding and embracing neurodivergence, self-advocacy, language and speech sound development, literacy, feeding, fluency, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Neurodivergent Adults
I offer neurodiversity-affirming supports to neurodivergent adults, particularly those exploring and embracing their identity. I support individuals to build confidence and develop strategies that enhance communication, connection, regulation, self-advocacy, and authentic self-expression. I also collaborate with communication partners to deepen their understanding of neurodivergence and communication, helping them recognise strengths and preferences and use strategies that maximise understanding, expression, connection, and co-regulation.
Education and Support Sessions
I offer education sessions in home and school environments for caregivers, educators, support teams, and others involved in an individual’s life, such as family members and friends. These sessions promote neurodiversity-affirming approaches by exploring each person’s neurotype, communication strengths and differences, and by introducing collaborative, relationship-centred strategies—such as declarative language and the Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) model to support regulation, connection, problem solving, effective communication, and overall wellbeing.
NDIS Participants
I currently support self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
Autism Assessments
Neurodiversity-affirming Consensus Team Diagnostic Evaluations (commonly referred to as dual assessments) are offered in collaboration with Louis van der Berg, Principal Clinical Psychologist at Mountains of Care Psychology and Consulting, located in Aberfoyle Park. For more information about these assessments, please contact Karina via the contact page on this website or reach out to Mountains of Care using the following link.
